Credit Unions Getting it Right

For those of you not familiar with our monthly CU Solutions Group e-Newsletter, we have a section entitled "Getting it Right." Going along with our theme of that issue, we find a credit union who deserves to be recognized and spotlighted for their best practices.

Since 2008, America’s Christian Credit Union has been growing membership by offering members online applications. CU Solutions Group worked with America's Christian CU to get Xpress Membership on its website, “We needed to get our application up and running in a very short period of time, and it enabled over 12,000 new members to come onboard in an even shorter period of time,” explains VP of Branch Services Kelly Dettor.

Just one visit to America's Christian CU’s website shows how proactive it is when it comes to using technology to build membership. Whether people are looking to join the credit union or open a personal or business account, they’ll find an “apply now” link on each pertinent Web page. This approach enables America's Christian CU to have a dynamic interactive call-to-action the moment the consumer is on its website.

Engaging the member/consumer during their research process is one of the best times to secure their business – a fact that America's Christian CU learned three years ago and still practices today.
